You haunt my dreams, keeping my mind awake all night
Relentless images run through my mind, startling my consciousness
I wake in a panic, secure in a world away from where you are
My mind sees you with unveiled eyes, the path of destruction you leave
Though worlds apart we may be, my heart aches just the same
Aching for what I’m unable to do, what’s left to do
The questions run through my mind when awake
Confusion and desperation settles in while asleep
